I'm not much of a planner.
The only thing I know for sure is that I'm going to take the Trans Mongolian Railway as a gateway to Asia.
My adventure will start in Moscow, but how will I get there?
Two months before departure I only have a general idea of where I want to end up. It is stressing me, but feeds my adventurous heart at the same time.
I have already successfully quit my job, found somebody to take over my apartment and carefully informed my family and friends.
1 week before departure
All of sudden the time has passed in an eye blink.
Only 7 days left before I change Belgium for the unknown...
I currently have a delay of three weeks, since arranging Visas is a bitch and I'm a dummy at paperwork.
I will never forget the countless times I wanted to give up on Russia because of their stupid system. The day I had moved mountains to get the 6 (!) wanted documents together and got sent back home because there was one stamp missing, almost got me crazy. But it's dogged that does it: on the 2nd of October I can go and get my passport in the Russian Embassy. Ouf!
Since the day I know my Russian Visa is a go, the planning is happening fast and natural.
I've found a friend that can give me a ride to Berlin! Now I only need to figure out how to get to Russia without taking any flights...
